. For new and returning School and club rowers the new season's winter training program has started. All those who wish to attend the NZ club champs in February 2024 at Karapiro or the NZ Secondary school champs at Ruataniwha should attend to have a row and discuss the program. A winter program is an important part of your preparation and we'll work around your winter sport. If new, turn up at the club at 7.30am Saturdays or use the enquiry form on the Membership tab.
Novice school or club rowers also need to start rowing from Terms 2 and 3. Look for notices on Facebook or this web site or if at school, look for notices there or talk to the rowers there already. You'll have a few weeks to try out and there will be information nights to explain whats involved. If you'd like to try rowing then use the enquiry form or turn up at the club at 8am Saturdays, or talk to rowers at your school.
We are also looking for coaches to assist us with the school program this year. Training and supervision is provided. You'll be part of a team. Suits ex rowers, rowing parents and year 12 or 13 students looking to add to their CV's. If interested use the inquiry form on the Membership tab.
Preliminary Timetable
Returning rowers: Muster April 29th or 30th at 8am.
Novice rowers: Roll up on Saturdays at 8am
Information meetings as required
Learn to Row
Schools 'Learn to Row' Our learn-to-row program in 2023 runs continually from May. We'd like to start morning trainings by August as winter sport comes to an end.
